Points of View

This part of the Geoscapes website presents a mixture of subjects. It may include projects under investigation, certain professional activities such as funding for a new geology book on the Okanagan Valley (now complete) and related news of the activities of the Kelowna Geology Committee, and subjects of general interest. The texts of certain public talks given by Dr. Murray Roed will be posted, from time to time. As the Geoscapes.ca website develops, more illustrations, maps (for field trips for example) photos, and subjects will be included, so add it to your "favorites" list.

Summaries of books available can be accessed by clicking on "Geology Books" to the left. The latest is a new book on the Cayman Islands. So if you are planning to travel there, check it out.

A new book project has been completed. This is a book focused entirely on the geology of the South Okanagan. It is now available in over 50 locations in the Okanagan Valley and other parts of BC. It has been an instant success with over 1500 copies sold by December, 2011.
